This is my existing trailer, and the base for my A-Frame build. Its a 1988 Sun Lite Firebird that is 10' long by 6' wide (without the pull out bunks front and rear). Its given me a lot of good years of camping with all the room I could ever need and will live on in the new build to camp for many more years to come.
Here are some interior pics of the existing camper. As you can see there is a sofa in the rear (pic 1) that pulls out into a bed large enough for 2, the kitchenette area (pic 2, 4) has a sink, 3 burner propane cooktop and ice box as well as storage cabinets and pic 3 showing the entrance door side cabinets and part of the dinette which also folds down into a bed. Right now I'm toying with the idea of removing the cooktop since we do a majority of our cooking outside. I figure it will give us more counter space, eliminate the need for the 20# propane bottle on the tongue, and we can always set up our coleman stove if we want to do any cooking inside. The ice box, I still haven't decided on. As a cooler its handy, though not very efficient. I may pull it out, to once again give us more storage space and just use the portable cooler to keep the food fresh. Eventually I may consider replacing it with a 3 way fridge if I can find one at a reasonable price. Actually I may rebuild the entire kitchen area since we will no longer need the cabinet to fold down as it does now to accomodate the sliding bed areas. But for now I will probably leave the interior pretty much alone until I get the new walls and ceiling in place and working well.

The pictures above were done over the weekend. Pic 5 was removal of the canvas, in pic 6 I'm getting ready to remove the bed slides and in pic 7 the bed slides are gone the first box wall framing is begun.

These pictures show 2 more of the side wall extensions that were completed and dry fit into place. There are 2 more wall extensions to go, then I can get them skinned and begin work on the new roof framing.
